Ugandan Musicians Face Revenue Challenges Due to Live Concert Streams

Jaja Ragga Dee Addresses Revenue Losses from Live Concert Streams in Uganda Jaja Ragga Dee commonly known as Daniel kazibwe, a prominent figure in the Ugandan music industry and the patron of the Uganda Musicians Federation (UMF), has raised concerns over the financial losses Ugandan artists face due to live concert broadcasts by various media houses. In recent statements, he highlighted how these live streams on different social media platforms deter many potential concertgoers from attending events, opting instead to watch the performances for free from the comfort of their homes. Jaja Ragga Dee pointed out that a concert which could potentially attract around 8,000 attendees often ends up drawing only about 3,000 people. The primary reason for this significant drop is the free live broadcasts. While media houses offer free advertisements in return for streaming rights, they do not provide hard cash, leading to substantial revenue losses for the artists. He urged his fellow mus...

INAGURATION OF PRESIDENT Of Uganda MUSEVENI TODAY
Swearing In Of The President Of Uganda Museveni

Today is the day a new Ugandan government comes to power and the end of the old one.

It's by protocol the change of government has to take place as that's what the Ugandan constitution stipulates.

The National Resistance Movement supporters know how to keep themselves in power ,

And with candidate museveni still the same person in the state house, his Influentials, Essentials and Winning coalition play a big part in keeping power.

The National Resistance Movement are the victors and won the Ugandan presidential elections and are the ones swearing in even though they know very well they didn't win any elections.

They say politics is a game and those who play it smart emerge the winners.

These fellaz know the Rules to rule.

Keep your coalition as little as you can just like despots and monarchs do.

it's a few people or the court that benefits from the wealth of the nation or kingdom, and these are the people benefiting from the tax payers money.

So How Has Museveni Maintained Power

  • He knows where Uganda's Money is.
  • He pays his essentials, influentials and winning coalition and these consist of his Army, the Police
  • He organises elections even though they are always a sham to show to the International community that he is democratic.
when someone gets into power they find ways to entrench themselves and this is by enriching a few of their coalitions.

Why Many Ugandans Had their Hope in Kyangulanyi as their president

  • Kyangulanyi had the support of the masses and he won the vote but if we can ask, did he know who the Essentials, Influentials and the Winning coalition are? coz he needs these people to Rule as these are the people who keep you in power.
  • Does Kyangulanyi know where the money is to pay off the Essentials,Influentials and Winning coalitions. What matters is paying off these few people and you can rule.
There are few things NUP supporters or ugandans who are History students should put in mind when thinking of changing government.
Despots Care About Themselves And Their Coalition

Lots of people think that their vote counts according to the constitution but it doesn't Autocratics care about massing wealth for themselves and their Coalitions , many don't care about the welfare of the masses like constructing good hospitals and paying Doctors a good salary so high birth mortality rate reduces or making msure every of their citizens get good education. Many autocratics don't want a literate nation since they know these are the people who will be a threat to their power. They make sure they don't offer citizens public goods like freedom of speech, freedom of press and freedom of association. we have seen a lot of these freedoms silenced by the state machinery. lots of Young NUP supporters have been arrested and even denied bail hearing.

So What's The Way Forward For a Better Democratic Uganda

We Should change from an Autocracy to a Democratic kind of governance. and this happens

  • By liberalizing the Economy so citizens can get involved in economic activities like trade. as when every uganda is involved there will be development by the citizens.
  • Reducing on Taxation of the citizens as when this happens, many masses give up on work since they see no reason for contributing towards aan autocracy which doesn't do any good for them
  • Freedom to the Public goods like freedom of speech, freedom of press amd free of association
  • Expanding the Essentials, influentials and The coalition as when these people are many their share is small and they make sure to offer good public policy to their citizens.
