Ugandan Musicians Face Revenue Challenges Due to Live Concert Streams

  Jaja Ragga Dee Addresses Revenue Losses from Live Concert Streams in Uganda Jaja Ragga Dee commonly known as Daniel kazibwe, a prominent figure in the Ugandan music industry and the patron of the Uganda Musicians Federation (UMF), has raised concerns over the financial losses Ugandan artists face due to live concert broadcasts by various media houses. In recent statements, he highlighted how these live streams on different social media platforms deter many potential concertgoers from attending events, opting instead to watch the performances for free from the comfort of their homes. Jaja Ragga Dee pointed out that a concert which could potentially attract around 8,000 attendees often ends up drawing only about 3,000 people. The primary reason for this significant drop is the free live broadcasts. Umeme Uganda limited to roll out prepaid metering

In A bid To Reduce on the Issue of the Rampant Power Thefts amongst Ugandans,  Umeme Limited is to Roll out prepaid metering.. 

 And they plan to make it mandatory according to CEO chap man. Well he claims that 80%  of consumers in uganda are asking for prepaid metering for good planning and expenditure.

But is This A good Idea??

Prepaid metering has it's own issues as many Uganda power consummers ain't happy with the service. 

chap man should know that customers in areas were prepaid metering was installed already are crying foul as the electricity budget has gone high.


What are some of the PROBLEMS WITH THE UMEME PREPAID.

When it rains,power switches off and it's the umeme techicians to come and restore power.
The prepaid meter runs even when its not being used.
