Pastor Bugingo Allegedly Removes Ex-Wife Teddy Naluswa from House of Prayer Church Shares

Pastor Buggingo

Recent reports reveal that the fallout between Pastor Aloysius Bugingo and his ex-wife, Teddy Naluswa, extended beyond their marriage, impacting their business ties. Documents obtained from the Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) indicate that Bugingo deliberately requested the removal of Naluswa from the list of shareholders in his House of Prayer Church, registered as a company limited by guarantee.

According to URSB records, the current shareholders are Bugingo, Edward Kayizzi Luyimbazi, and Immaculate Babirye, who are entitled to profits from church tithes, media ventures, schools, and other business activities. Bugingo and Kayizzi serve as pastors, while Babirye is a Kampala-based businesswoman. The trio was appointed as directors on January 20, 2022, following the removal of Naluswa and two others in the same year.

The ministry’s objectives, as stated in its MEMARTS, include conducting prayers, operating media outlets like Bugingo’s Salt Media (which runs a radio and TV station), preaching tolerance, managing schools, and other initiatives.

This development highlights the ongoing tensions between Bugingo and Naluswa, raising questions about the management and financial oversight of the church’s extensive operations.
