Ugandan Musicians Face Revenue Challenges Due to Live Concert Streams

Jaja Ragga Dee Addresses Revenue Losses from Live Concert Streams in Uganda Jaja Ragga Dee commonly known as Daniel kazibwe, a prominent figure in the Ugandan music industry and the patron of the Uganda Musicians Federation (UMF), has raised concerns over the financial losses Ugandan artists face due to live concert broadcasts by various media houses. In recent statements, he highlighted how these live streams on different social media platforms deter many potential concertgoers from attending events, opting instead to watch the performances for free from the comfort of their homes. Jaja Ragga Dee pointed out that a concert which could potentially attract around 8,000 attendees often ends up drawing only about 3,000 people. Vist Visa Life in The United Arab Emirates

Many young Africans flock the United Arab Emirates on both Visit Visa with the hopes of getting a job and making money to uplift their standards of living, taking care of their kids and families, escape the poverty line.
Many youths and adult men and woman take loans from microfinance institutions, banks and many lenders to process a visit visa and an air ticket to travel to United Arab Emirates.

Who Is To Blame For The Horrible Conditions Immigrants Go Through

  • Lack of information from Friends already in the United Arab Emirates.
  • Not having enough money to rent and feed themselves in this period.

It isn't an easy life of the period on Vist visa cause your sending many to a friend or an agent in the UAE and your in any African country, many are dupped by fellow country men, they are never given  sent the visa or the visa fee is raised and because one is desperate, they will look for money and send it. And when finally the visa comes. The other problem is passing the Uganda airport. Many agents book a one way ticket and the return is a non paid ticket, so when the airline sees this they tell you to present a return ticket or your offloaded.

So when you do a rebook and get a return ticket and your cleared to travel, then you fly for 5 to 6 hours depending whether it's a direct flight or the plan has to fly to it's Hub first before it takes off to Dubai. When you reach Dubai that's when the real hustle begins, everything is paid for, drinking water, metro fee to drop of your CV or going for walk-ins.

You sleep in a crowded bed space where there is nothing like privacy, power outage which makes the living conditions hard, cause without power the Air conditioner is off and sweating is the order of the day. That not being enough, water is periodically on and off cause management wants to save on the water bills. So survival girls engage in sex for money to survive and get what to eat.

This is part 1 of this article but a part 2 will come as time goes on, I wanted to give you a glimpse of what to expect if your coming on a job hunt as your not coming to heaven but a real hustle.
