The Difference Between The Uganda Musician Union and The performers Association

Know The Difference Between UPRS And Uganda Musicians union

We have heard of many Ugandan Musicians not knowing who their President is and which forum they belong to either Uganda musicians  union or the collecting society  UPRS, who to hold responsible for what happens to performing musicians either up coming  or established.

Musicians are like any other human being  and they too get in trouble, sick or one dies.

Does Andrew Benon Kibuuka or Mr Wasuula eat musicians money?

On many occasions fingers have been pointed at Andrew Benon kibuuka the President of the Uganda Performing Association that he eats musicians money and has done nothing to help artists.

But are all these allegations  true? all these fingers have been pointed whenever a musician dies from AKA 47 to the recently fallen Danz kumapesa. But are they blaming the right person? With the recent discovery it's No.

The right president of the Musicians Union of Uganda is Moses Matovu of Afrigo Band and he was elected though most Musicians didn't know him and when the elections were held since many of them don't attend meetings according to what Moses Matovu said while on Talk and Talk show live show which took place at Bat valley theater and a lot was discussed concerning musicians so all those who want to enjoy the fruits of the union should first register as members and then they can participate in the activities of the union other than shouting outside.
