HIPIPO Award's had been looked at as the predecessors to the PAM Awards as Uganda unlonger has any big and hyped awards of both secular and regionally recognized Award, but HIPIPO has tried to give hope to some up coming artists who always want to be awarded for their hardwork and pull up their efforts

Why don't many Ugandans do see any Credibility in the Awards?

These awards are labeled biased cause many big names in the Ugandan industry haven't been nominated to be apart of them so their funs are unhappy about this and these include the likes of Juliana kanyomozi and Dr. Jose Chameleon who have never won any HIPOP Award, yet the two are among the talented musicians that carry the Ugandan flag.

why are they labeled Bebe cool Awards

They have been labeled Bebe cool Awards as he is the only musician who was won many awards from them. and this has brought the organisers to rethink the approach of awarding other artists so this year round things changed as we saw David lutalo win Artist of the year. The beef came from various camps like the firebase camp who have never won any award, so we side with the allegations that these are Awards of only artists who are in good terms with the organizers? Many artists are disgruntled and among them is Matthias walukaga who expected to win the Artist of the year but didn't win artist of the year 2014 yet he had the best song that rocked Air waves so he warned the organizers of court action not to ever nominate him in their appeaser awards again.
This year 2016 Pallaso and Nutty Nathan were the disgruntled one for not winning any awards yet they had good music and their funs where in high gear to vote .

what should HIPIPO Do

HIPIPO should put their house right or ugandans are gonna loose trust in these awards they should make their nominations more transparent and the voting exercise since many artists complain of their funs not voting because of not knowing the criteria
