She is the managing director and CEO of Blue Pictures Film Distribution in West Africa and an award-winning film distributor.

She is a well-known independent film distributor and sales agent both locally and internationally. For the past ten years and counting, she has served as a subdistributor to independent studios in the US, UK, and South Africa, including Black Sheep Entertainment, Warner Brothers Pictures, and Walt Disney Pictures.

Since 2007, Joy Efe ODIETE has worked as a sales agent and film distributor in Ghana and Nigeria in West Africa. putting out more than 5000 films, many of which have achieved great success at the Nigerian box office.

In the ten years she has worked as a film distributor, she has achieved significant success for the foreign studios with franchises like Harry Potter,Thor, the Avengers, Star Wars, Batman, Iron Man, etc. Her notable Nollywood Nigerian Box-Office Hits include The Return of Jenifa, Phone Swap, Maami, Last Flight to Abuja, The Mirror Boy, and Anchor Baby, to name a few. She has also collaborated with legendary Nollywood actors.

As a student, Joy stood out as one of the top candidates and was awarded the higher institution scholarship from Delta State based on a higher CGPA. She is a member of the National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria and has degrees in business studies and marketing from the bachelor's level.

She also participates in AWLO (African Women in Leadership Organization) and has attended regional and international conferences for this organization.
