Who have benefited from this??

  • Single mothers
  • Young men who can't find jobs in the country
  • People who want to upgrade their income
  • But how do these people get their dreams realized

Many mother's and candidates are resorting to securing loans from Microfinance institutions and banks to acquire loans so as to send their child to go and work,

Repayment of the loans and loan terms are not favourable but there is not any option but to put land and housing units as security to secure the loans as collateral to support their families and children realize a better life than that in Uganda currently.

What Happens when one Reaches Abroad in the Middle East countries

Reaching UAE, Oman , Qatar, KSA, TURKEY doesn't  guarantee success and a safe heaven.  Things change and reality starts to unfold as whatever was promised by the labour export company and agent is not what one gets.

The reality of things is they don't get what was promised in the job offer letter and in so doing the company manipulates the employees by deducting the air ticket or visa fee expenses from the employees.

So in so doing you find that the employee who expected to have around 5000 AED has unless than that in a year or nothing in hand depending on the spending expenditure of the money sent back home to support the family.

Many Ugandan agents don't care about lobbying for a fair payment as all they care about is making profits. And when these employees try to complain, they are told how they were given a favour as back in their countries they were so poor.
