Ugandan Musicians Face Revenue Challenges Due to Live Concert Streams

  Jaja Ragga Dee Addresses Revenue Losses from Live Concert Streams in Uganda Jaja Ragga Dee commonly known as Daniel kazibwe, a prominent figure in the Ugandan music industry and the patron of the Uganda Musicians Federation (UMF), has raised concerns over the financial losses Ugandan artists face due to live concert broadcasts by various media houses. In recent statements, he highlighted how these live streams on different social media platforms deter many potential concertgoers from attending events, opting instead to watch the performances for free from the comfort of their homes. Jaja Ragga Dee pointed out that a concert which could potentially attract around 8,000 attendees often ends up drawing only about 3,000 people. The primary reason for this significant drop is the free live broadcasts. When you hear such a statement what comes to your mind? Did these guys do what they claim that it was their effort to send away Congloses lumba from uganda or it was the waves of change because a generation comes and goes due to change in the taste of music or advancement in technology because back then music recording was done in kenya and it was analogue and not digital but due to the introduction of digital studios using computers and other equipment music production became an easier task and the birth of new genres of music.


So Who Is The Right Person To Brag About Changing The Industry

We think different people have contribution to the Ugandan music industry and thes include;

The so called guys who brag of shaping the Ugandan music industry by claiming  sending off Congolese music that had infested Uganda in the early 80s and these are Jose Chameleone and Bebe cool as one way of making money off the promoters who want to make some money off their batrle as battling artists is the new way of making huge sums of money. The duo has  agreed to a battle one another for the funs to decide who is best.
These are José chameleone and Bebecool, this was agreed upon at the Tondeka ekiwatule on the 26th of DEC 2014.
This was the first time chameleone featured on this show.
